Atmosphere

Atmosphere:

The envelope of gases extending to a height of about 1600 km from the surface of the earth is called the atmosphere. An example of atmosphere is the ozone and the other layers which make up the Earth's sky as we see it. 

Earth's atmosphere is composed of about 78% nitrogen(N_2) , 21% oxygen(O_2) ,0.9% argon(Ar) ,0.1% other gases. Trace amount of  carbon dioxide (CO_2), methane(CH_4), water vapours and neon are some of the other gases that make up the remaining 0.1%.
